Situation
Filter Solution for Hospital
Originally, the customer is using traditional HEPA box. The problem was both the HEPA box and the HEPA filter leak, which results in unnecessary filter replacements that take 3-4 hours long to replace the HEPA filter per room. Other filter suppliers cannot provide a solution to this major problem.
Provide the best solution to the hospital air filtration system that meets customer requirements. AAF presented the following solutions for HEPA filter replacement to solve their problem, first by reducing the time of filter replacement, second by changing the filter from the inside of the room, next, guaranteed zero leak HEPA filters and finally reduce the cost of the HEPA filter replacement in the future.
Challenges 1 – Reducing Time of Filter Replacement
Challenges 2 – Guaranteed Zero Leak HEPA Filters
Challenges 3 – Reduce the cost of HEPA Filters Replacement in the future
AAF worked with the hospital system to upgrade the HEPA housing to AstroCel® TM RSC model, designed to fit with a gel seal filter for easy room side change. We demolished the old ceiling and removed the leaking HEPA box. Then we constructed a new ceiling that fits AstroCel® TM RSC housing well throughout the entire room and installed AstroCel II in the HEPA boxes to ensure there will be no more leaks during operation.
AAF’s AstroCel® TM RSC model has brought some benefits for the end-user, it helped reduce their operation costs with the lowest possible pressure drop from fibreglass media. Since it is lightweight and compact, filter replacement is made faster and easier with filter leak-free guarantee. It also meets the customer budgetary requirements and reduces the time of replacement of the HEPA Filter. After they switched to AAF and changed their HEPA box following our proposed solution, they annually pass the validation testing which is about 3 times already. The hospital system now has substantial validation that it is providing the best Air Quality, the best achievement for their patients and staff.
