The filter media with antimicrobial properties not only traps small particles, it also minimizes the number of microbes by inhibiting their growth and reproduction. The antimicrobial agent applied is not consumed while combating microorganisms.

Anti-COVID-19, Antiviral & Antibacterial Properties

The AstroCel S+ product is being designed and manufactured using the newly developed innovative media named S+, and it can handle harsh operating conditions where a high risk of particles, viruses, and bacteria is present. The S+ media has proven its capability and efficiency, supported by the following tests done under the reference standard of ISO 18184:2019: against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), Influenza A Virus (H1N1) pandemic (Human Isolated), and Human Coronavirus 229E (ATCC VR-740), conducted by a third party lab. The efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 achieved 99.85%, H1N1 achieved 99.93%, and against Human coronavirus 229E achieved 99.92%. The S+ media also underwent antimicrobial test of Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC6538) and Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922), which both achieved 100% efficacy.

Performance & Applications

AstroCel S+ filters are available in a variety of efficiencies, including 99.95% and 99.995% on MPPS. Each AstroCel S+ is individually tested and carefully packed before sending to our customers. AstroCel S+ HEPA filters are used primarily in cleanrooms and clean zones, which require the highest levels of contamination control. Corrugated sheets of aluminium or hot melt separate the pleats to permit maximum usage at minimum resistance. Gasketing is available on the upstream, downstream, or both sides.
